F1 Solutions have been instrumental in supporting the creation of a wonderful new facility for vulnerable women and children in our community, as well as supporting our services over so many years whilst in our former premises.
Karinya House for Mothers and Babies is a community based, not for profit organisation serving the ACT and surrounding regions. In its twentieth year of operation, Karinya provides supported accommodation and outreach services to pregnant and parenting women in crises and their children. In August 2016 Karinya, with specialist funding for construction from the ACT Government, opened its new Home and transitioned to our purpose-built facility, doubling residential capacity, and creating a designated area for specialised outreach and group services.
F1 Solutions have provided Karinya House with Information and Communications Technology (ICT) infrastructure and support since our partnership began in 2005. This service has been provided on a pro bono basis, with remote desktop support, technical on call advice, website hosting and equipment maintenance and provision, and general ICT advice being provided on a significantly discounted basis. F1 Solutions have also supported our various appeals and fund raising events throughout this time and their financial support in addition to their pro bono contributions is valued, given our significant donation targets.
When the construction of the new facility, the opportunity to have effective and efficient ITC systems incorporated into the construction process was paramount. F1 Solutions provided the complete analysis, ICT system development, consultation with Housing ACT and Monarch Building Solutions, and negotiations with third party security, access, and telecommunications services.
F1 Solutions provided significant hours of ICT consultancy services free of charge. In addition, all the ICT equipment sourced through F1 Solutions was provided at discounted costs.
Gus Boman, with Zar Boman and the dedicated team at F1 Solutions have consistently provided expert advice and support. ICT Systems are not our strong point, and at all times our questions have been responded to with patience and clear explanation, with as minimal technical language as possible. Where necessary explanations in plain language are always given. Service help desk support is prompt, responsive, and thorough. The technical team on the help desk are always professional, courteous and engaged. Where necessary further issues arising are quickly followed up and managed. In cases of ICT critical issues, the response time is rapid and effective.

The new facility in which we reside is proving to have such a positive and effective impact on the women who we accommodate and support through outreach services. The spaces are home to them in every sense of the word. Simply having access to wi-fi, something many of us take for granted, can make just that little bit of difference, in terms of access to and equity of social capital. We now have an ICT system of a quality and effectiveness that enhances and supports the services we provide. We would not have been able to have this in place, without the support of F1 Solutions.
